Aromatherapy at Jessica's Apothecary
Jessica’s Story and Education
Jessica is a Certified Aromatherapist. Her journey into Aromatherapy began in 1994 when she, on her travels to Northern Arizona, was given Magical Aromatherapy by Scott Cunningham. She began mixing essential oils and carrier oils. Sweet Almond Oil became a daily after bath ritual. The study of Ayurveda and Herbal Medicine soon became an important part of her self care. Driven by her love of botanicals in skin care formulations, Jessica decided to become an Esthetician in 2000. She opened Jessica’s Apothecary & Spa in 2006 and started blending body oils for clients.
After an inspirational conference in 2014 hosted by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) Jessica was reminded that we don’t choose to work with essential oils, rather they choose us. She decided to take her education and knowledge of Aromatherapy to the next level by enrolling in the 235-hour Aromatherapy Certification Program through Aromahead Institute and graduated in April 2019.
Jessica is a Level Two Certified Professional Aromatherapist through NAHA, the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, and agrees to abide by their code of ethics and conduct.

She attended their Aromatherapy and Medicine of the Soul; The Wounded Healer, the Alchemical Journey and the Sacred Union 2-day workshop in Detroit, Michigan. They have AromaGnosis Online School with profound and poignant topics that anyone can access to deepen their connection to essential oils.
Jessica is currently dual enrolled in the Tisserand Institute Essential Oil Safety Masterclass and Essential Oils for Healthy Skin. Robert Tisserand is an authority on Essential Oil Safety and co-author of the Essential Oil Safety Book. Jessica had the chance to meet him at the 2016 NAHA conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Essential Oil Sourcing
Our Essential Oils are sourced from companies that provide GC/MS reports for all their oils and are affiliated with NAHA. In our store we sell Essential Oils by Aromatics International but we do not sell them online.
